Saturday was supposed to be an amazing day! We went to Cornbelly's as a family and had a blast. Then, we dropped the kids off to my mom's so we could go on a date - temple then back to Cornbelly's to do the maze in the dark! Two things I had never done and have wanted to for a long time (meaning never attended the Oquirrh Mtn temple and never done the maze!).
Guess who's temple recommend was expired - yeah, mine. I almost cried. I was so excited to do a session at the Oquirrh Mtn. temple. Then, there wasn't anything to do to kill time until dark (it was only 5:30), so Adam went back to my parents to watch the BYU game and my mom came over to watch Letters to Juliet. It was a great movie. Sophie enjoyed girls night and then when Adam got home, we snuggled on the couch. I suppose if a planned date night goes terribly wrong, girls night and then snuggling on the couch with my man isn't a bad alternative.
Surely the next date night will go better....
