Does anyone have an amazing breadmaker bread recipe? I've had a breadmaker for a few months now and got it out today thinking I'd toss in some ingredients and a few hours later have some yummy bread to eat. No such luck! I have no yeast. For some reason I thought I'd be able to find a fabulous recipe that didn't call for it. Some of the recipes I saw required you to add warm water that was a certain temperature. Seriously? I thought this thing was supposed to be easy schmeazy. Is there a magical recipe out there that doesn't require much effort? I'm totally craving baked goods.
In non bread news - Sophie had her two year appointment today and I feel like a successful mom. I've managed to help her gain weight. She's now in the 16th percentile for weight and in the 96th for height. Yes, still tall and skinny, but I feel much better that she's not nearly off the charts for being too skinny. The doctor was really impressed with her language skills and knowledge of all letters and colors. And she really wasn't showing off while we were there.
I decided Sophie and I should get flu shots today so we have boo boos, but at least we won't be one of the 200,000 healthy Americans who end up in the hospital with the flu (30,000 die). Something like that. The Dr. scared me into getting the shot for the first time. He also estimated my due date to be August 5th, but I'm not banking on it. I'll wait to see what the ultrasound says at the end of the month. I'm confident I'll be due sometime in August.
Last note for the day. Could I be the luckiest pregnant woman to have a toddler that sleeps 14 hours at night and at least an hour nap during the day? Hello - dream schedule for me!!! I'm so grateful for my little rugrat that needs lots of sleep because I need it too!!!!
Don't forget to share that dream breadmaker recipe with me if you have it. Thank you.
Oh PS, for those of you who don't live in Utah - be grateful. It is dumping snow on us yet again. Holy moly. I think I could go ice skating on the streets. Too bad it's freezing outside and I don't have ice skates.

UGH! It is sooo cold! I'm ready for spring! That's good that Sophie has been gaining weight. Jaxon was always tall and skinny, too. He was always 25th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. Thankfully that's not the case anymore! Sophie sounds like a little whiz kid! Cutie!
No bread maker recipes here that don't take yeast! Glad things are going well for you! Can't wait for Saturday! It is going to be a blast for the next few months!
that was my due date with delila then they changed it. i dont have a recipe sorry. lets go ice skating though that would be a fun family activity. i have not been for years. ok so i need to jump back on the wagon with usana. out of it cause of the no sleep crap.
Would you just come borrow some yeast?! ;) I just made bread today, and am proud to say it turned out pretty darn good! Sorry, I haven't seen any great no-yeast recipes around. Not for bread, anyway. Glad the appt. went good and that you guys got your flu shots! I was scared because I got mine 2 months after the rest of my fam. Glad I didn't get sick!
FYI, baking soda + vinegar (or lemon juice) is supposed to have similar effects as yeast. Fogot to mention it, but I've never tried it and don't know if I ever will! =/
I have yeast!
Oh, freshly baked bread. Sounds AMAZING. I wish I had a great recipe for you!
