SWIMMING ATTEMPT #2

I'm no longer trying to be a hot shot out of the gate :) Today, we swam at a pool with kickboards, so I practiced just getting used to breathing in through my mouth and then blowing out through my nose as I worked my legs. I think once I can get into a good breathing routine and stop getting water in the back of my throat because I swim/breath like I'm afraid of drowning...lol, then I'll get better. The really good news is that I learned how fast I can swim an 800 even if I use a kickboard the whole time - which totally is allowed, btw. I'm tempted :)

In Landon news today - he finally cut his head open. Now I don't have to wonder anymore when we are going to cross that bridge... I was unloading groceries from the car and he and Sophie were supposed to be gathering up their markers and Color Wonder books to bring in the house. Somehow he gashed his head who knows where. I didn't take time to figure it out since he had blood oozing down his face. Thought of taking a pic, but thought better of it :) First time little man was oozing with blood. I'm sure it won't be the last. He was pretty good about it. Sophie too. We all survived, no freaking out :)

PS My parents got Landon a sweet train table and all the works for his birthday (he got it early...about 6 more weeks and little man is turning 2!). I'm turning into an expert train track builder. Built the most awesome track yet today. whoop whoop! Come on over and play with us!
