Do you have this book? It's our all-time favorite. Last night, we had friends over for dinner and games and Sophie leans over to Korver, a cutie little 2 yr old boy and says, "I love you Stinky Face." It was awesome. There's a Stinky Face Christmas book too that Sophie got this year and it's a fun one too. The child in the story is full of imaginative "what-ifs?"What's your kids favorite book?

Right now, Max's favorite book is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." Other favorites have been "The Best Word Book Ever" by Richard Scarry, "No David!" by David Shannon, "How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?" by Jane Yolen, "Jamberry" by Bruce Degen, and "The Runaway Bunny" by Margaret Wise Brown. Get me started on kids books and I could go on and on...
Heather, we don't have ANY of those! This is a great post. I'm adding all your favs to our wish-list. One decision I made last yr is that books will always be a big part of Christmas. Kids tire of toys, but seems they can read the same stories over and over for an eternity.
Toby's favorite is The Mitten by Jan Brett and Bear Snores on by Jane Chapman. Toby also ADORES horses so he really likes My Pony by Susan Jeffers and Fritz and the Beautiful Horses by Jan Brett.
I love Jan Brett's stuff, her artwork is so detailed and absolutely incredible. And gorgeous. And I love her. Susan Jeffers seems to be the same way, but I've only seen one or two of her books. We're building up our Jan Brett collection over here :)
Good on you for making books a big part of Christmas. It seems that when I was growing up I ALWAYS wanted books for my birthday and Christmas, but my mom would never buy them because she thought books weren't good presents. To me they are the gifts that keep on giving, because they can be read over and over again. Oh, I see you said that already. Exactly :)
I want to get this!
"How do dinosaurs say Goodnight" and anything to do with princesses or Mickey Mouse.
"Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon"
Best. Pictures. Ever.
