I'll BE HONEST

I've been saying this whole pregnancy that I'm not going to be an annoying pregnant woman who complains the entire last month of pregnancy and I even went so far to say that I'm just going to plan on making it to 42 weeks so that if baby comes on time, it will be a pleasant surprise, but I have to admit, I'M OVER IT! No, I'm not going to do silly things to try and go into labor, but I would gladly welcome going into labor any time now :) It's not because I'm super uncomfortable. I just want my body back. I want to start preparing for the Halloween 5K and wear normal clothes. I only have about 5 shirts that cover my belly. It's so low.

My belly has dropped, so things are starting to happen and my lower back aches so bad at night. I wonder if that's because of the way I sleep or because my pelvis is starting to open up. Not sure. My midwife is coming to my house this Thursday for my appointment (to bring birthing supplies and make sure she knows how to get here, etc.). I will be 37 weeks on Thursday. I don't know if my midwife will check to see if I'm dialating or anything like that. She's not the get up in your grill kind of midwife and would probably tell me the statistics of women who are a bit dialated for many weeks before going into labor and it doesn't mean a whole lot. I think it just gives women false hope anyway.

I think a small part of why I'm ready to have baby is because I've accomplished so many of the big projects on my to do list a lot sooner than anticipated. But, I still have more to do, so I better get on it. It's is Monday after all. Time to be productive. On today's list: launch my website, clean house, make yummy low glycemic desserts for tomorrows class, laundry, hang shelf in baby's room, figure out how I'm going to make basket liners for baby's room (I bought baskets at a garage sale with pink gingham liners that obviously don't match), and meal plan.

Speaking of meal planning, I've been thinking I need to make freezer meals, but I HATE FREEZER MEALS! I'm into fresh. But will I be too tired to cook when baby comes and wish so badly I had freezer meals? Yikes. Please weigh in on my survey on the top right.

Thanks! And now off to start my productive week!!

OK Nisha. Great great blogging. I am going to have to follow your posts. BTW, are you having a home birth? With a midwife? If so, how cool. I wanted to have another baby just to have a home birth. Alas, it didn't happen. Anyway, you have a neat family.

I like reading your posts. I follow a blog that has an easy way to make basket liners. It's at Makeitandloveit.blogspot.com. She has a bunch of crafts down the left hand side at the bottom. Just a tip in case you want to try it. Good luck with going early. I'll pray for you. :)

My mother in law introduced me to this book with ALL freezer meals. You may already have it but I thought it was genius. Dinner is Ready - 30 Meals in One Day by Deanna Buxton. I haven't done anything yet but things look good, not fresh but still good. I hope you can have this baby soon and get feeling better!

Nisha, even at 37 weeks pregnant, you're making the rest of us look bad--you're always so productive. I love it! :) Good luck in the next few weeks! Can't wait to find out what you have!

Hey found your blog! Hope you don't mind. I have a great book for freezer meals. It is called Dinner is Ready by Deanna Buxton. I grew up in her ward and her book is great. It was a ton of recipes and they all freeze great. Let me know if you want to barrow it.
