HEALTHY FOR LIFE CLUB!

I've mentioned a few times that I'm getting certified to lead weight loss teams. I'm calling these teams the Healthy for Life Club as the philosophies are based on Dr. Ray Strand's Healthy for Life book. I can't tell you how passionate I am about what this program teaches. In the year before I got pregnant, I went from a small size 6 to wearing a 0. I never in my life had worn a 0 before and it's not a surprise. I never knew the right way to eat! Dr. Strand's education goes through history and the "recommendations" that have led to where we are today. Here are a couple excerpts from Strand:

"It just amazes me that over $30 billion dollars are spent annually on trying to lose weight, yet the percentage of adults getting fatter and fatter keeps increasing. There is something definitely wrong with this picture.

Have you been frustrated in your battle of the bulge? Well, you just may need to step back and forget everything that you have been told over the past 30 years when it comes to weight loss."

The Healthy for Life program is based on eating low-glycemic, moderate exercise, and cellular nutrition. I was going to start my classes after baby comes, but I'm too excited and anxious to get going, so the first 12 week group will start on August 10th. We'll have an intro meeting on August 4th at 6:30 PM at my home, then we'll meet for the next 12 weeks each Tuesday night at 6:30 PM. We'll eat dinner (so you can experience low-glycemic eating and realize your family can change it's eating habits), do weigh-in's, belly measurements, meal plan for the week, and LEARN how to impliment this new lifestyle that has a side-effect of permanent fat-loss! There is a $30 registration fee that covers your Healthy for Life book and student workbook and then it's $48 a month for the class and that includes supplements.

I'm looking forward to having the Eagle Mountain group in full swing when my baby comes to help me lose the baby weight! The next three locations I'll be expanding to are Lehi, Kearns, and Provo/Orem. I'll also soon have a virtual class available so anyone anywhere can learn and benefit from living Healthy for Life!

Sorry if this post sounds a bit commercial, but I'm spending every spare minute of my life right now on my training and certification and this blog is all about what my family is up to!

You'll be coming to Kearns! I love it, is Charlotte going to be helping you out or will you just be coming up here?

Nisha - Please let me know when you expand this into a virtual class. I would love to try it out. I'm a pretty picky eater, so I'm not sure it will work for me, but it's worth giving a try, right?!? ;) Good luck with your new veture and I look forward to hearing many success stories!
