My friend sent me an email with a link to this video and this message: "A young woman (convert to my faith) stayed in my home a few nights ago and showed me this lyrical, symbolic skit from a Christian youth retreat. It's seen over 9 million hits on You Tube. I was so overcome with emotion as we watched this together...It is a very powerful depiction of how darkness -in all its appealing forms- tries to grab and ensnare females; and how connection to Christ is the only way to find peace and safety. Later, as I watched it with my 10 year-old daughter, I became even more emotional, as did she. It's very powerful and I wanted to share it with all my female friends, particularly those who of you who work with young women or have daughters."
I was also so moved and had to share. Now I am headed to a baptism of two 8 year olds in our Primary and will say a few words on behalf of the Primary...ayaiyai! I can only imagine I'll be much more emotional after watching that video. Wish me luck.
This video is amazing. Last week I learned of a sixth grader at our school who is a victim of bullying by other girls. It has gotten so bad that she ultimately changed schools. It is too bad that young girls have to suffer so much with themselves and peers. If only we weren't so easily deceived by the adversary! Thanks for sharing this!
