PROUD BIG SIS

I'm a proud Big Sister!  Today we went Cory's Eagle Court of Honor.  (In case you don't know)  It's the highest rank a scout can receive and all three of my brothers have achieved it.  Apparently, only 4% of Scouts earn it, so it's pretty remarkable that we're at 100% in my family :)

There is an official ceremony where the new Eagle Scout and parents receive recognition.  The Eagle also has the opportunity to give a pin to
his mentors and Cory chose me!  He did his project for the Rose Foundation so I was able to help him accomplish his goal of collecting school supplies and funds to help pay for shipping to Guatemala.  Since I've worked with the Foundation for the last three years, Cory has had the most successful project.  I'm so proud of him and honored that he recognized me as his mentor.

I must say I have pretty remarkable siblings, but Cory certainly has always brought a special spirit into our family.  They showed a slideshow of Cory and the other boy who earned Eagle rank and it had pictures of them growing up, showing various family and scouting experiences.  I was emotional watching it and remembering how cherished he is in our family.  He's grown up to be an amazing young man and I love him so much!!!!!

Congratulations to Cory and the whole Craig clan! That is quite an achievement to have all the young men be Eagle Scouts! It is a family affair and one to be proud of! Cory is quite a good looking young man and you should be honored that he would choose you as his mentor. You are terrific and I'm glad (and thankful) I'm related to you!
