MY BIG GIRL

Sophie is quite the little toddler these days, learning lots of new things, taking interest in more toddler-like activities, and even showing a bit of terrible two attitude! I've been working with her on her letters, colors, and numbers. I figured colors should be the easiest to get - there are a lot less colors than numbers and letters. I didn't think she was getting it at all. Then, last Sunday, when I was handing colored pencils to the kids in nursery to color with, she said "purple." I was so excited to hear her verbalize her knowledge of the color purple. Her latest obsessions (things she loves, but names she loves to scream over and over and over as loud as she can) include Barney (yes, we watch Barney first thing each morning), Louis (Christopher's girlfriend Bronwyns dog, she says it like this "oooooweeeee, oooooweeeee, oooooweeee" and never says it less than three times), uncle Cory, and Nana. She also loves to scream DAADAA, usually when she's sitting in her highchair waiting for daddy to come down from his office and have dinner with us. Her biggest word is "backpack." She thinks anything you put stuff in - purses, buckets, bags, backpacks, etc are all called backpacks. She loves to take her backpack with her to church. Here are a couple of pics of Sophie in a big girl outfit.

I love this age! They just learn so much and so fast. What a good mommy you are to teach her all those things! I love that she calls everything a backpack. That's so cute!
