PEE PEE POTTY MOMMY

Sophie is obsessed with going pee pee in the potty. She's gone twice now. She thinks it's pretty great. So, she's only 17 months. I need potty training tips! HELP!! I don't want to potty train her for daytime only. I want her to go straight from diapers to underwear full-time. Which means, I need to put her in a toddler bed and put a little potty in her room? That's what one of my friends did. I really don't want to put her in a toddler bed yet because, you know she's not going to stay in there, but if she's ready and wants to potty train, I feel like I have to take advantage of it and do it. So, please comment, tell me what worked for you. I have about 15 diapers left and don't want to buy 104 more if I don't have to.

I just potty trained during the day first. I kept diapers on and in the crib at night. Luke was potty trained during the day almost a full year before he was dry at night. Pull-ups are better at night because they can feel when they get wet, but they don't hold much. Congratulations on this great new skill!

We're still working with Ally. I'm sure if I was trying a little more she'd be potty trained by now, but I get distracted easily. We went to the store and I let her pick out a package of underwear, I also picked up a package of the plastic covers that go over cloth diapers, that way if she has an accident she doesn't get so much of it on things. I picked up a bottle of carpet cleaner. When we go outside I put underwear on her and ask her every 1/2 hour. That seems to work, as long as I remember to ask. We moved Ally into a big bed at 15 months. As long as I don't give her a lot to drink before bed, she wakes up with a dry diaper. The more we work on potty training, the better she is at not having accidents and recognizing when she has one. We got her a stool and a seat that goes on top of the big potty, that way she is somewhat use to the big potty and it isn't something scary for her. Good Luck!

A good one for public potty's that flush as soon as you stand up is put a stick it on the sensor. Porter did great in public restrooms until he came upon the magic flush by itself. lol So I carry post it's with me all the time now. We were super lucky Porter potty trained in one 3 day weekend and so far just 2 accidents and those were at night, and at Colleen's place. He even holds it hen we go into denver 3 hour dive or Sterling 1 hour drive. :)

That is great that she is interested in the potty! We got one for Annie just to get her used to the idea. When I go to the bathroom she comes in and helps me but seems to just like to stand on her's. Oh well! I think I will start pushing it in a few months. Cannot wait to hear what you learn!!!
