TODAY ROCKED!!!!

I have a list of house things that have been piling up for way too long. Today, everyone was on board! The kids were so helpful. They mostly helped with laundry and mopping and did a great job playing without me while I was working on other things, but I'm so happy we got everything done. I even did a random few things I wasn't even planning to do (like taking apart our dining room light and cleaning it really good). We replaced burned out lightbulbs, switched the kids doorknobs and I made Landon's crib into the toddler bed. He's a big boy now...now that I can lock him in his room...lol :) We switched the locks because we couldn't lock his from the outside. He's been climbing out of his crib, as you know. So tonight I locked him in. He got out and proceeded to bang on the door. I went up there and explained to him that once he's in bed, he's not coming out of his room. I told him I would make his bed a big boy bed and he could play in his room if he wanted to, but he wouldn't be coming out. It was time for him to be a big boy and get in bed when he's tired. He actually seemed to understand and excitedly jumped back into bed and let me tuck him in and he waved goodnight.

WOOHOOO!!!!! We've tried this a few times, so I'm glad the lock seemed to do the trick. I'll unlock it before I go to bed so he can come out in the morning.

My house is sparkly clean, something I wanted to get done before we get our carpets cleaned. I scored a sweet deal on CityDeals, but I wanted to get the house really clean before they came. We haven't had our carpet cleaned since we moved in 4 years ago. They really need it!
