This week has been amazingly productive. At one point, I thought Sophie disappeared. I searched high and low, mostly main floor high and basement low. She was no where to be found (I was cleaning bathrooms while she disappeared). Landon was in his room trying to fall asleep. I finally thought to check her room. She was reading away. She will often just disappear and read. It worries me until I find her and then I'm proud.
Landon's cutting canine teeth. The left ones have broken through the surface, but have given him cankers :( Sad. He woke up snotty nosed and feverish from his nap. He was very sad. Darn teeth :(
Adam got a big fat bonus at work. They do that once a year. It's called PayDirt. Don't ask me what that means. I don't get it. DIRT?! He went and bought himself some new black shoes - very expensive ones, I might add, but they are replacing his MISSION shoes. Yeah...those black shoes he's been wearing to church are from his mission! So who cares if his new ones are expensive because he won't replace them for another 10 years. We are absolutely far from shoe snobs.
I'm getting a new shirt to wear to the company work party that is Friday night. I'm ready to throw my whole closet (except for my four newer shirts) out. We were one of the lucky winners to get a night at the hotel where the festivities are taking place. Adam and I haven't gone anywhere without the kids for TWO YEARS - since our cruise when I was preggo with L. I say we deserved to win that night! It's at the Grande America. SO DREAMY! I'm hoping I'm back in my teeny tiny jeans by then. I've been running my butt off (hopefully literally :)....okay, thighs, not butt. I could use more butt, less thighs.
We attended our neighbors last baseball game tonight - 5 yr old baseball that is. Landon couldn't stand watching. He wanted to play. He found a ball and bat laying to the side. He went for it and then frowned at the field wishing oh so badly that he were playing. I am a cheerleader at heart and can't wait to cheer one of my kids on. How cute will that be?! Sophie played ring around the rosie with her friend. They had a ball.
And....this is me stalling. The kitchen floor desperately needs to be mopped but after doing all the other cleaning today, I'm just not that into the kitchen floor. Plus, I just threw out the rags I used to mop with. What to use? Such a dilemma!
End of story.
