BEST WEEKEND IN MONTHS!

You all know that with Adam's work schedule, we don't get a ton of time to go have family adventures. So, it should come as no surprise to you that today just may have been the best day of the entire year! 9 hours of pure fun and togetherness - nothing compares! Oh yeah...I didn't mention what we did yet. We spent the day at Lagoon for FREE :) It was Associated Food Stores corporate day. I forgot my camera and in a way, I'm bummed I didn't capture it, but I think I'm more glad that I forgot it because I could experience the day without fussing with getting a good shot. Sophie enjoyed taking turns riding the rides with Adam and I. I was impressed with how many kid rides they have. This was the first time we went with kids, so I had no idea. Sophie was so brave. On the fast rides (like the Chinese dragon) she said with a huge smile the entire time, "Go Dragon Go!" She said her favorite rides of the day were the two boats (the Pirate ships that we thought she'd be terrified on).

Landon did have a hard time in the late afternoon. I finally took him to drive around the parking lot so he could fall asleep in his car seat and I then transferred him into the stroller. He didn't sleep very long, but was fine with some snacks. His highlight of the day was at the end. We let them run through the water. Landon was so hilarious other people were watching him instead of their own kids. I've never seen him have so much fun and be so full of curiosity. So, thank you Associated Foods for having corporate day!!

Last night, Adam and I actually snuggled on the couch together without our laptops and watched a movie. He's usually grading or preparing for class and I, working, while we "watch" anything together. It was nice to put everything aside and enjoy Diary of a Whimpy Kid. Pretty cute show.

Tomorrow, we're hosing Adam's sister and her friend boy for dinner and games AFTER I take a big fat nap :) Like I said, best weekend in a long time!
