HUH????

The Little Man - you know, Landon - the child who loved nothing more than breastfeeding for 9 months. Absolutely did not want bottles or cups or binkies....yeah, that kid. Do you want to know what he decided yesterday? No more nursing. WHAT?! Okay, he nursed a tiny bit, but mostly just had solids, which left him constipated by night time. He was totally wigging out. And I mean, throwing the tantrum of all tantrums, throwing himself on the ground, arching his back like crazy, making it difficult to hold him. Finally Adams like, let's give him some medicine, there's obviously something seriously wrong (this is after about 30 minutes of WAILING). So, we gave him medicine, which calmed him down a bit, but he still wouldn't nurse. I assumed he had a belly ache and was constipated. So, we started giving him water in the medicine dispenser thingy. Finally, I thought to pump with my lovely hand pump and then give him a bottle. He SUCKED it down. WHAT?! Weird. This morning, he's happy, but still does not want to nurse. So, I pumped again and held him while he took a bottle and I pumped the other side. He still wants to be held while taking the bottle. Now, let's just hope he'll take some formula within a couple days. I refuse to pump with a hand pump all day long every day. No thank you. Hey, at least I'll have flat abs to go with my soon to be flat chest. I started The FIRM 5 Day abs yesterday and boy, I can feel it today!

When Mason was just 2 1/2 months old, he stopped nursing completely. It was so frustrating. I think I must've not been producing enough milk for him because that was what happened with Brooklyn. Hang in there. Hopefully, he'll start nursing again soon.

Gideon decided at about a year he was done nursing. We were still doing a bottle of formula before bedtime but 2 months of that and he was done. It's kinda nice when they wean (sp?) themselves as long as it's not too early. Good luck with everything.

Wow. That can be very freeing. You will be able to start healthy smoothies with him. He isn't too young to drink green smoothies. Do careful research on a formula. At his age, he may better be served by healthy food choices (which I know you already do), I have that new book and there is an entire section on feeding small children, and introducting good food. So I will see what I can pass on to you from that...

Some kids are just too stubborn! Davis went from breastfeeding to a sippy cup at 11 months. He wouldn't take a bottle. Sorry for the craziness you are having to deal with!

When Cosette was 8 months old she decided she only wanted to nurse when she first woke up in the morning and then right before bed. Then at 11 months, she decided she wanted to nurse ALL the time. That lasted until she was 13 months, then I weaned her. Good luck!
