A lOT OF RANDOM NOTES

How many of you mommies use crib bumpers? I haven't put one on Landon's crib because with Soph, I realized they are pointless. They say to have them in there before they can move in case they stick an arm out - so it doesn't get stuck in the rails, but to take it out when they can move so they don't suffocate on it. Well, my little Landon man, won't stop moving around. He rolls and rolls and rolls right into the rail, gets stuck on his belly and an arm gets stuck in the rail. It sure makes him mad. Thinking the bumper would prevent the arm issue, but if he rolls all the way over and has his face in the bumper, I'm not sure he'll know how to roll back. Maybe it's a lost cause.

By the way, I've totally been suffering from blog deprivation, but I'm slammin busy. I'm not liking the new background, but there's no time to recreate it right now. It feels good to be typing a new post :)

So, why you ask am I so busy. THIS is why. Have you seen this article? I couldn't be more excited about the news coverage we've gotten and the subsequent interest. Unfortunately, it means I've been on the phone and email non-stop. I can't wait to help 100+ people lose weight and feel great. WHO do you know that I can help? We're also putting together a virtual group for people outside Utah.

I got a haircut today. A style I've never had before. I'm liking it. I think Adam thinks it's a bit too short for his liking, but my hair grows fast. I'll take a picture when I'm not wearing my bug-eye glasses :) My stylist thinks it makes me look younger. I was feeling like it made me look older. Maybe I'll do a poll!

Lastly, the best part of the day could've been trying on my dream jeans (you know, those ones I wore last winter when I was in the best shape of my life...before pregnancy came along and made me all mushy?!?!). Yeah, those jeans. I tried them on maybe two months ago...okay, maybe it was three months ago. Couldn't get them past mid-thigh. I'm proud to say that today, I got them on and buttoned. They didn't look good, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've eaten 100% low-GI since 01/01/10 and I've been pumpin iron and even went to a spin class. I'm so excited. I feel great in those jeans! I'm bouncin off now to pump some more iron before I hit the hay. I haven't lifted weights since Monday night. SLACKER!

Don't forget to look at the news article. It's probably my most proud professional moment since college. Pass it along to someone who wants to get healthy this year. I want to help them to the NEXT LEVEL! (P.S. "NEXT LEVEL" will be the post title in the future. Stay tuned :)

I always leave the bumper pads on until they can sit up and move around alot more. But I don't get to have that problem due to a couple of things...one is Ollie doesn't roll over yet and he sleeps in a pack and play playpen. :)

They have mesh bumpers you can get. That way if they roll into it, they can't suffocate. They have them on the walmart and babies r us websites. With the girls I never used a bumper, but I now love it. Ben can't see me when he is laying down. He stands up in bed and moves around quite a bit, but he sleeps better with the bumper. I've tried taking it out and he just wakes himself up every other hour, when he moves around. So we are keeping our bumper in.

A 3 month old baby passed away in my ward on Christmas because he suffocated during a nap. I don't know if it was the bumper, but I always thought the recommendation was not to use them.

I was really excited about your article and the video Jodi was in. I didn't know she did the 12 week program and I still need to tell her how great she looks!!! It's awesome and I thought about calling you but Randy still wants me to meet with his trainer. I thought the whole idea of talking with girls and knowing that my friends did it was uplifting. SO WAY TO GO!! You are an inspiration. I need to get rid of the winter blues I am feeling.

Your baby is SO dang cute Nisha. I have not had bumper pads with my last couple of kids. Probably because I never had cute ones. So no help there.
