It's been a little while since I've posted. We've been busy! I wanted to give a little update on my Landon man. He's growing so fast. He's almost 11 pounds now and getting so strong. It's so fun for me to see how he's different than Sophie was. Sophie has always been a skinny little thing. She never even had creases in her skin from chubbers, let alone jelly rolls. Landon is a bit stockier than she and has some chubbers on his thighs. I think it's the cutest thing ever. He's starting to get louder and interacts a lot and tries to talk, which mostly sounds like "goo" and "ga". It's so easy to get him to smile and he's happy all the time. He's been a self-soother since he arrived, but it's been a learning process for him to find his fist and find the way he likes it in his mouth. He attempts the thumb sometimes, but he usually gags or just chews on it for a few minutes before going back to the fist. We used to stress out about him being a thumb sucker, but now I feel like I'm cheering him on. For one, holding the bink in his mouth gets old and secondly, I like to see him succeed at something he's so intently focusing on (getting the fist in a way he likes it).
Sophie's taken her role as big sister and ran with it. It's amazing how prepared and ready she was for it. She's pretty much quit taking naps, which has been a little difficult. Every now and then, if we're in the car at around 3, she'll zonk out, but for the most part, no naps, but she is sleeping about 12 hours at night.
I think I'll start attempting to get Landon on a schedule, or at least pay more attention to his patterns and try to help him get more consistent. It would be ideal to have him on a schedule before we go to Colorado for Thanksgiving, so we can plan our time there better. I'm sure I'll post more on that later. For now, I'm going to try and sleep.

Wow! Landon is growing like crazy! I've never had a "chubsy" baby, but always thought the baby rolls are cute! Thanks for the update, it's fun to hear how baby Landon is doing.
Hey! Stop by and visit when you're in Denver next. Ooh.. what if the riggs and johnson's did thanksgiving together again!? hm, i should call Amy and Colleen.

Wow! Landon and AJ are a lot alike! Maybe it's a boy thing... :) I'm thinking boy and girl babies are just different! AJ eats so much more than Evie did and he's a lot more visual. He sees me across the room and shoots me a meanie glare when he's ready to eat, like: "I'm waiiiiting!" :)
