While my midwife was here, she told me about a woman (a very weird weird woman) who is having her placenta freeze dried and encapsulated (like in pill form). Apparently it would help with headaches and post-partum depression. She's going to post instructions online of how to DIY. WEIRD!
Then later, I went to my regular doc to get a wart removed - yeah, I know, gross I have a wart on my hand. So, he uses the spray that is 800 degrees below zero and sprays it on 3 separate times. While he's in between the really stinging second and third times, he tells me about a wart he has on his finger but can't get rid of because he's too much of a wimp. I just start laughing and say that's hilarious. He can inflict the pain on anyone but himself. I tell him not to tell anyone else that. It's really an evil thing for him to say and I thought it was hilarious that he would say it out loud.
Last night, around 9 something, while sitting in my living room talking to a friend, my house started to smell like a stinky diaper. I just thought maybe I was smelly or my nose was playing tricks on me or something. But then at about 11, Adam comes up from the basement and asks what the smell is. I said, oh, I'm not crazy. He thinks it smells like rotten eggs and asks if I made anything (bc my cooking always smells like rotten eggs?! j/k). We discover that the smell is isolated to the living room and begin sniffing around trying to figure out what it could be. Paranoid, I call my dad who thinks they only possibility is a gas leak. GREAT! So, Adam goes outside to see if the wind caused anything to knock into our gas thing-a-ma-jig and he comes in saying it stinks like that outside, so we figure it's blowing SO hard outside, the smell is just getting in through the door and windows. We call it a night, but I knew I'd have a freaky pregnancy dream about it and indeed I did. I woke up during my dream and had no feeling from my knees down to my feet and swore I could smell it in my bedroom. Had to convince myself I was crazy and there was nothing to worry about. So Eagle Mountain neighbors, did you smell rotten eggs last night or does it only smell right around our house?

You are so close to having your little baby! How exciting for you! I bet it was nice to have the midwife come to your house and start getting things ready for your delivery day. I hope all goes well. Best of luck with it!
That is SO gross about the placenta. Ewww!
I know Kevin's mom buried one of the placentas from one of her home births in the backyard and then planted a tree.
Also, did you know that you can freeze warts off yourself? I just did it myself a few days ago with a kit from the store. It wasn't too bad. Your doctor is a wimp. ;)
I totally smelled that too! I am pretty sure it was something to do with the wind and lake. yuck!
