MEAL PLANNING (HELP)

I really don't have an appetite lately. Nothing sounds good, even junk. But, we're out of food at my house and I desperately need to grocery shop and meal plan for the next 11 days until we go to DENVER to visit Adam's parents and see our new nephew AJ (Adam's oldest brothers wife gave birth to the handsome little guy about a week or so ago).

So, please help. Send me you most favorite in the whole wide world recipe that doesn't take more than an hour (preferably even less, but hey I am willing to work for good food :). Oh, and to return the favor, here is a link to the BEST steak we have ever eaten in our lives and now make more often than we ever would have eaten steak in the past. *Sidenote, the sauce isn't good enough to put on the yummy flavor of the steak, so skip that part.

Muchas gracias!

Oh, here's a double wammy for ya. I just discovered the BEST potato soup recipe ever (I've tried a million). And I love love this one. I make it with red potatoes, because I don't consume white potatoes. They are worthless high glycemic and I'm not saying red is a million times better, but if you have a potato lovin' hubby, you go with red :)

5-6 medium sized potatoes, cut into 1″ cubes
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup light cream
1/4 cup butter
6 cups chicken stock
1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
freshly ground black pepper

Bring chicken stock to a boil in a large pan. Add potatoes and onions. Cook until potatoes are tender. Meanwhile, brown sausage in a separate pan. Add the cooked sausage to the potatoes and stock. Add the cream and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Add the vanilla and balsamic vinegar right before serving.
Serve with Bread

I made this for dinner tonight: chili chicken tacos (long link) http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/chili-chicken-tacos?autonomy_kw=chili%20chicken%20tacos&rsc=header_3

Not only is a slow cooker recipe (convenient!), but it's crazy, crazy easy - and yummy. We have it a lot here.
