I LOVE BEANS! I think that's why I love Mexican food so much. Beans, avocado, salsa. MMMMMMmmmmmmm....yummy! My husband hates beans :( He doesn't mind them in soup. But if they are the main ingredient in a dish (like tonight's meatless tortilla pie), he gulps down a ton of water after each bite and you pretty much know he's hating it. So, this presents a major dilemma - especially because you know our food storage is full of black beans, kidney beans, and great northern beans. So, if you have any recipes with beans in them, but that are not bean driven, please, oh please (I BEG OF YOU!) send them my way :)
In Sophie news today...the day started out beautifully. She pooed and peed in the toilet right when we put her undies on. Then, a few hours later, she goes to the potty BY HERSELF! and sits right down to pee (hallelujah!). At this point, I'm thinking "my kid is so stinkin smart and amazing." 10:30 hits, we rush to get ready to go to Nana's who is on potty training duty while I grocery shop, and our potty training takes a major plunge. She pees on the way over there. Puts on the only extra pair of undies I packed and pees in them shortly after I leave. Which leaves, a diaper. Boo! After we get home, I put her back in undies and she does really well for a few hours and then pees and starts to poo in the undies ON HER ROCKER - SICK! I think that was her way of saying, MOM, stop cleaning the house and focus on ME! So, we put on another pair of undies and by this time I think she is just way too tired to think about it (oh yeah, she skipped her nap today - BOO!) So, she peed in those and now she's in bed. She fell asleep during dinner, sitting straight up in her highchair. It was the funniest thing I've ever watched. Fine. For the rest of the week, which the exception of my Dr. appointment on Thursday and preparing meals, I'm 100% focused on this little girl and her bowel movements. Yippee!
Oh, PS, if you love beans too, check out this recipe. I LOVED IT and won't mind eating every bit of leftovers. Heaven!

If you get any recipes send them my way. I pretty much don't eat meat anymore... or try not to and I love beans. Ellie won't eat them very well except she downs them from cafe rio... so I need some recipes too.
I found that I just have to make it routine that before we leave to go anywhere, everyone has to pee. Its my new rule and it has helped quite a bit. I also keep a few diapers and undies at my moms house, so when she is watching Ally she has extras just in case.
I don't know what you do with her poopy undies, but I make a big deal about having to throw poopy undies in the trash. I refuse to clean poopy undies, so Ally knows they have to go straight into the trash if she poops in them. She gets upset when she realizes that she pooped in them, she doesn't have too many accidents at all now. We also talk about where it is appropriate to poop. My inlaws stayed at a hotel when they came down to visit last time and we went to go swim at the hotel and someone had pooped in the pool, gross. So obviously we couldn't swim and I made a big deal about why we only poop in the potty. She is still talking about it and hopefully she remembers that poop does not happen in the swimming pool, this summer.
Anyways, I just suggest talking about where it is okay to pee and poo and do it a lot. When you go to the store with her, take her to the bathroom, so she knows its okay if she has to go at the store. It'll probably be of help to you as well as you get bigger. Good Luck!

Good job on potty training! You're a good mom. I still haven't taken the full plunge with Abigail. I haven't found a bribe that works yet.
