Now that my crazy week is over, I finally got around to getting some Christmas Spirit in my home. The tree is up! It's pretty simple. $30 from WalMart with white lights (lights not on in the picture because I need to bring in the extension cord), green balls, and ornaments I received all through growing up. I'm not too into seasonal decorating, so no topper yet. Did I mention I don't have a tree skirt either? Anyway, my tree definitely needs a topper...hopefully the skirt will happen this year too especially because I don't have many wrapped Christmas presents to go under the tree. They're all too big! Take a look at my poll and let me know what you have at the top of your tree. I'm thinking a star is a no-brainer but I'm open to options. The family I nannied for in college always had a huge live tree with a huge bow at the top with ribbon flowing down. It was beautiful. I'm not sure my cute shrimpy tree can handle something that elegant though. I'd love to hear what's on your tree.
P.S. I just blogged like crazy, so take a look below and of course comment on anything you read. I know you fellow bloggers appreciate the comments too :)

Wonderful tree! The first ones are always the best. They will bring a smile as you remember them years from now. My favorite memory is of my 'Charlie Brown' tree. It was so lopsided we had to take a branch off the bottom and wire it into a bare spot. All the ornaments were poster board and glitter. I think I still have those ornaments, and even though I just had one baby at the time of that tree, when the kids saw those ornaments as they grew up, they wanted to use them to decorate with!
It is beautiful!
I think its a lovely tree. Our Tree topper is a Mickey Mouse hat we got at Disneyworld - so I think you can put anything you want on the top. Ohhh do what Amelia Bedelia (did you ever read those kids books - I loved them) she put a mirror on top then everyone was a "star" ha ha
Very cute! (I don't have a skirt either... I finally got sick of it this year and put a Christmas table cloth under there instead!)
I've got a stained glass snowflake looking star on our tree. It was a wedding gift from Mike's YM leader's family. I love it and it reminds me of them every Christmas.
