101 THINGS ABOUT THE RIGGS

Since all my friends are doing it....I figured the best way to start my blog is to list 101 things about the Riggs Family.

1. We LOVE December
2. Nisha is 25 (born 12/28/82)
3. Adam is 24 (born 12/01/83)
4. Nisha and Adam were married 12/30/04
5. Sophie is almost 15 months (born 12/31/06)
6. We bought our first condo in Springville in 12/05
7. We now live in a house in Eagle Mountain
8. We are finishing the basement
9. Adam's brother Justin, wife Katie, and daughter Evie (6 weeks younger than Sophie) are moving in with us mid-June
10. We're really excited for them to live with us :)
11. Adam is from Denver
12. His parents and two brothers still live there (one brother when Justin moves in)
13. Nisha is from a somewhat small town south of Indianapolis
14. It's called SHELBYVILLE
15. Not the Shelbyville, Illinois often spoke of in The Simpsons
16. All Nisha's siblings and parents live in Utah
17. We all live within 25 minutes of each other
18. We get together with them often and couldn't live without them
19. Adam's sister Annelise lives 25 minutes away
20. She totally rocks
21. We had a puppy for a week when we moved into our condo in Springville
22. I don't think we'll ever have a dog again, although I'm often tempted
23. Nisha thinks pets smell and make everything dirty
24. Nisha's brother Chris has a couple really cute dogs
25. Adam attended college at Brigham Young University
26. He graduated with a BA in Communications
27. He's a graphic designer
28. Adam owns his own business - Riggs Design Solutions
29. He works from home
30. Nisha works for a non-profit called the Rose Education Foundation
31. Nisha thought it was her dream job until she decided a dream job really has unlimited income potential
32. Nisha's dream job requires her to answer only to herself...NO bosses
33. She has her dream job
34. She works with a team of like-minded entrepreneurs on a project called A World of Wellness
35. She helps people to create work/life balance and enjoys helping others succeed in their goals
36. Our model also uses an effective training system called One Step at a Time Training
37. Sophie's lot in life right now is to eat and grow and learn
38. She is best at loving her mommy and daddy and making them laugh
39. She has great facial expressions and big beautiful blue eyes
40. If all children were as mild tempered and loving as she, there would be more sanity in the world
41. We think she's pretty great
42. We would like to have 2 or 3 more kids
43. We'd like to be pregnant again in December so Sophie and Baby 2 are almost 3 years apart
44. Nisha has lost 10 pounds in the last couple months
45. She's taking a belly-dancing class and eating a low-glycemic diet
46. She's wearing her favorite jeans from her skinny single life
47. Adam just finished up a basketball league
48. He's looking forward to warm weather and golfing and playing his first 9 holes this weekend
49. He golfs with Nisha's brother Tyler
50. Adam is pretty much a sporty guy and does well in all sports
51. He's going to join a softball or soccer league soon
52. We're trying to decide which one
53. We are getting satellite television today
54. Adam has lived without ESPN since we moved here
55. Grandpa Craig couldn't believe it
56. Adam and Nisha lived with Nisha's fabulous Grandparents Craig in Indiana for the first 5 months of marriage while Nisha finished school
57. We miss them
58. We almost moved back to Indiana before we bought this house in Eagle Mtn.
59. There weren't any good job opportunities there
60. We are happy about our decision to stay
61. Eventually, Nisha would like to visit Indiana every 6 months
62. Eventually, we will be able to go to the beach once a year as well
63. The best neighbors we've ever had are Star and Roland Erickson
64. They were our condo buddies
65. We miss them dearly
66. They live in Nevada now
67. We're hoping to visit them before the end of the year
68. We have a lot of family reunions this summer coming up
69. We are going camping with Adam's Colorado friends the first weekend in May
70. We are going to Moab and I'm nervous about camping and hiking with Sophie
71. If you have a good Baby Bjorn you want to let me borrow, I'd gladly borrow it for that trip
72. I'm surprised at how easy it is to get to 101
73. I wasn't sure at 51 if I would make it
74. Sophie's middle name is Michelle, just like Nisha
75. We will give our first boy a middle name of Joseph, just like Adam
76. If Sophie was a boy, she would've been Landon Joseph
77. We like the movie DaVinci Code, but had the names picked out before the movie came out
78. We are getting our family pics taken next weekend
79. Adam's mom is our photographer
80. She does really great work
81. Nisha plays the piano, but hasn't practiced in years
82. Nisha sings to Sophie all the time because her mom sang to her
83. Adam doesn't play a musical instrument
84. He likes to listen to music
85. He has an iPod Nano
86. Sophie is a really good sleeper. She sleeps twelve hours at night and takes two one hour naps a day
87. Sometimes she takes two hour naps
88. Sophie goes to her Nana Jules two days a week so mommy can get work and errands done
89. Nana Jules is one of Sophie's most favorite people, but she'll kiss anyone
90. She even will kiss the grocery cart at the store and Christopher's dogs
91. She kisses everthing
92. I guess she loves to be loved and is therefore loving herself
93. We go to church every Sunday
94. We're trying to make more friends at church and in our neighborhood
95. It's been hard with the cold winter months
96. The Harkers are cool and the Baileys are lots of fun
97. We played Nintendo Wii for the first time with the Harkers last weekend
98. Nisha can golf much better on a Wii than in real life
99. Sophie and I are going to play outside today
100. Nisha is going to grow an organic square foot garden this year
101. She might go dig up the old garden RIGHT NOW!
